Sang Won Hwang has a Ph.D. in Environmental Design and Planning from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University. He grew up outside of Washington, D.C. and Seoul, South Korea.

Serena Sandra Weaver studied Urban and Environmental Planning within the School of Architecture at the University of Virginia. She was raised in Los Angeles and Venice, Italy.

Sang and Serena are passionate about traveling, sustainability, and good design. Together, they live in Downtown Charlottesville, Virginia.
